Marquee || Heart of Haute at Chicago Theatre

IMG_61s34s_2

Built in 1921, the Chicago Theatre was the first grand deluxe movie palace, and it's stunning interior was designed in the Neo-Baroque French-revival style with French-themed murals surrounding the proscenium.  The grand lobby is influenced by the Royal Chapel at Versailles and the grand staircase from the Paris Opera House.  This opulent setting was the inspiration of Orson Welles for his theatre setting in his 1941 film Citizen Kane.  Today it's the oldest surviving example of this style, and it's rare distinctive Chicago sign and marquee has become "the unofficial emblem of the city."  Pairing with the spirit of American history, Heart of Haute carries on the tradition of high quality, USA-made, sweatshop free, classic vintage-inspired clothing.  I am so in love with the pieces I have from Heart of Haute, and their garments are truly high quality with a perfect shape and fit!  This stunning bow-collar button up blouse is my new favorite... it has a flattering fitted waist which I've discovered is so hard to find.  Paired with a big red Heart of Haute flower, Unique Vintage pencil skirt, Dolce & Gabbana cat-eye sunglasses, and bumper bangs for a classic American pinup look.

  1. Beautiful! I've been eyeballing several Heart of Haute blouses, but was unsure of the quality. I'm glad you like them, I'll have to try one out!
