Pink at Pickwick || Un Petit Café with Vivien of Holloway

Tucked just away from the bustle of the historic financial district, there's a narrow Parisian-like alley with an even tinier brick building situated at the end of it.  This building happens to be one of the oldest surviving structures still in Chicago... it used to be Pickwick Stable in 1857, built for a flower merchant during the Civil War!  It later became a butcher shop in the early 1900's and a small restaurant in the 1940's.

One of my favorite parts about this spot, is they keep their patio seating open even during these colder seasons.  What could be better than sipping un petit café during the holidays with a frost in the air?  Perhaps with someone special, and definitely wearing luxurious wool...  This is precisely what I did, in Vivien of Holloway of course!  I paired the chic Donegal Fleck Wool Skirt with the sweet and feminine Pink Satin Halterneck Top and felt as though I had stepped back into Paris, 1950.  I love classic tops that I can easily pair with multiple outfits, and Vivien has an endless variety to choose from.

We stopped by 1893-built Beaux-Arts style Chicago Art Museum, where it's colorful Autumn flowers currently accent it's opulent steps.  So much to discover of Chicago's gems from the past, and each day I learn more and more.

Bonne Journée!
