Creamsicle in the Rosé Garden || #VCPC10

It was one of those days that left me smiling for weeks after.  I've had one of the best summers in long time, and this event on June 3rd was one of the top highlights:  10th Anniversary Veuve Clicquot Polo Classic!  As a Rosé Garden ticket ticket holder, I enjoyed a private, serene, little slice of heaven.... manicured rose bushes, rose-covered swings, glamorously decorated tables - our own having a brilliant view of the Polo match, two bottles of Veuve Clicquot Rosé champagne, elegantly prepared lunch, and all with a view of Manhattan and the Statue of Liberty!  Furthermore, beautiful people donned their finery & hats!  It was a feast for the eyes & senses, and beyond anything I could desire for a decadent, glamorous, summer event.

Creamsicle peachy-orange was just the color I envisioned for the day, and I was so lucky to have stumbled upon this vintage sherbet gingham 50's sundress... it even matched the color of my rosé!  This frock is made of cotton, and has the most adorable fringed trim & bow at the neckline.  As we know the 50's was all about the hourglass shape, I did not have to alter the waist on this piece in any way!  To accompany, I styled with white & wicker accessories - details below.

  1. These photos are so lovely they transport the viewer to another time and place. You put together the perfect outfit! With a dress that has a low back like that do you wear a specific type of corset? I'm new to the vintage undergarments...thank you!
