It's a late 1930's, early 40's kind of mood today, and a frosty one! We're in the heart of winter now, when crisp air is at it's strongest and coats need to be their warmest. It's funny - the coldest days can be tough, but each time the weather warms up to 50's & I have no need for my glamorous wool coats, I begin to miss the snowy, wintry world again. I guess I like the variety. :)
For a setting to fit one of the most beautiful day dresses I've seen in a long time, I immediately pictured a sultry 40's film noir scene... with almost a fatalism feeling. Or, a mystery film centered around train travel on a snowy NYC day - or all of the above! Heart My Closet designed a "masterpiece" of a dress, with the most jaw-dropping back detail. Burgundy buttons flow from a low v-neck back, and lead into a chic accordion pleat at the hemline. I think it's safe to say this dress encompasses all of these words: chic, fashionable, simple, elegant, unique, flattering, sexy, and demure.
... and of course, GLAMOUROUS!
