Upper East Side || Betty Grable inspired in Zoe Vine

Poodles, petticoats & pincurls!  Today's look is 1950's femininity, inspired by Betty Grable as Loco Dempsey in How to Marry a Millionaire.  Betty's platinum poodle hair, blue day dress, and pink petticoat has always been one of my favorite outfits from golden age film.  I was delighted to find that Zoe Vine's Vivian Dress provided a similar aesthetic, so I recreated my own version of Betty's sophisticated daywear ensemble.

This ruched fit and flare frock is one of my new favorites - I adore the neckline, color and silhouette... exactly what I reach for in the Fall and will make a beautiful holiday dress as well!  While Grable's outfit is a perfect way to don Vivian, she is incredibly versatile and can be worn a myriad of different ways.  Pair different brooches, wear various color combinations, and wear pretty much year round!

We took these photos in Upper East Side, and I love how visible Fall is on every corner.  I've always wanted take a photo walking a million dogs, and this was a chance I couldn't pass up!  A platinum poodle walking another poodle & friends! :)
