Red White & Brooklyn Bridge || Festive in Secrets in Lace

Here in New York we have the Statue of Liberty, Empire State Building, Federal Hall where the very first president of the US was sworn in, but somehow the Brooklyn Bridge feels to be just as nostalgic American in it's own way.  It was completed in 1888, and still is one of the very first "must-see" destinations for tourists.  Also, it's American flag is such an emblem with the NYC skyline as it's backdrop.

So I chose this beautiful landmark for today's 4th inspiration, which is very fitting for such an iconic, classic, American brand: Secrets in Lace. (since 1984!) For some reason, my mind always goes to the 1940's when I think of Independence Day, possibly because the figure of the WWII "pinup" is so very classic American, as is all the imagery from that time.  For a bit of festive nostalgia, I am wearing my  red RHT stockings & matching red garter!
